Violet glass.
State of the art packaging

Our algae is packaged in high quality and sustainable violet glass jars. These not only look chic, but are a true innovation in the packaging industry. Because of the unique color, no harmful radiation can reach the product. However, UV radiation, which has a sterilizing effect, is allowed to pass through. As a result, products stored in violet glass remain fresh for longer.

Why Violet glass?

Radiation filter

According to the manufacturer, the high-quality violet glass acts as a natural filter. It filters out visible light, i.e. radiation that could harm the product, and only allows radiation that has a positive effect on the product properties. Especially for the storage of algae this has a very high relevance. If algae are exposed to sunlight for a longer period of time without protection, this not only destroys the color pigments but also the nutrients contained in them. By packaging in violet glass, this can not only be counteracted, but the product properties can even be improved, as the UV radiation has a germicidal effect and is said to have an energizing effect in kinesiology.

ReUse

The chic jars do not lose their effect after their life as packaging for our algae. Much more they can be used long term as aesthetic fresh packaging, for example for spices. But they are also perfect for storing all kinds of useful items. For example, our 150ml jar is the perfect size for cotton swabs, the 250ml jar for cotton pads, and can enhance your bathroom organization. Alternatively, you can also upcycle the jar into a lantern. There are no limits to your imagination.

Freshness test

The innovative violet glasses are unique in the world and are only produced by the Miron company. If you want to learn more about the technology, you can visit their website here. The picture also leads you to a video of the (german) TV magazine Galileo, in which the freshness promise of the violet glasses was put to the test.
